Mary V. Hanssen, 94, formerly of Salisbury Township, died Nov. 13, 2014, at Saucon Valley Manor. She was the wife of the late Edward T. Hanssen who died in 2007. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Voytko.

She worked at Western Electric/Lucent Technologies for a number of years until retiring.

She was a former member of the Fearless Fire Company, the Cotillion Dance Club and U.S. Amateur Ball Room Club.

She is survived by a son, Edward and his wife Betty; granddaughter, Susan and her husband Mike Young, all of Salisbury Township; grandson, Mike and his wife Jennifer, of Allentown; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan and Austin; sister, Anne Applegate, of Bethlehem.

Contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 212 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, 18018.
