Lester H. Shafer, 80, of Emmaus, died Nov. 9, 2014, at ManorCare Health Services, Allentown. Born in Red Hill, he was the son of the late Allison Leonard and Eva Ida (Hoffman) Shafer.

He was a forklift operator at Western Union for 22 years, retiring in 1989.

He is survived by a sister, Lillie Youse; brother, Allison J.; nephew, Clifford Youse, Jr., and his wife, Susan. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert and a sister, Helen.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
