Elizabeth J. Kates, 76, of Cherryville, died Nov. 3, 2014, after being involved in an automobile accident.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Laura (Lorah) Kates.

She worked in the assembly department of Jameson Plastics Company, Allentown, for eight years until retiring in 2008. She previously worked in assembly at Keystone Lamp Factory, Slatington, for 30 years.

She was of the Reformed denomination.

She is survived by a sister, June and her husband Earl Kichline of Allentown; a brother, James R. and his wife Laura of Cherryville; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces.
