Nov. 14: Ironton Turkey Trot, 9:15 a.m.; Schnecksville Turkey Trot, 1:30 p.m. After weeks of training in physical education class to improve fitness levels, fourth and fifth graders will run a timed mile at the annual Turkey Trot at their schools.

Nov. 17: College Financial Aid Night, in high school auditorium, 7 p.m. Michael Burke, Higher Education Access Partner, Southeast Region PHEAA, Pennsylvania School Services, will present a program for students and parents about financial aid process many colleges and universities use.

The program will cover: 2015-16 FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) Program; Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency grant and loan programs.

Burke will provide an overview of the financial aid forms seniors and families will need to complete over the course of the next few months.
