Allen Township Board of Supervisors at its Oct. 9 meeting accepted the resignation of public works Director Scott Uhnak.

Uhnak, township Manager Ilene Eckhart said, has held the post for five years and was with the township public works department for several years before becoming director. He said his health was a factor in submitting his resignation.

Eckhart said during the interim she is meeting daily with public works personnel.

Township supervisors did not take any action in replacing Uhnak. The supervisors did not indicate what direction the township will take regarding the public works department.
