William R. Doebele, 85, of Salisbury Township, died Nov. 7, 2014, at Manorcare, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Katherine (Trivanovich) Doebele for 59 years. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late William F. and Vilma Doebele.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was employed by Sarco Manufacturing, where he served as past union president.

He was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

He enjoyed music and was a drummer in different local jazz bands in the Lehigh Valley.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Michele and her husband Timothy Buckely, of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren, Bryce, Landen and Sydnee; sister, Dolores Kennedy.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Cantelmi Funeral Home, Fountain Hill.
