Solomon Musican, 98, of Western Salisbury Township, died Nov. 3, 2014, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Violet (Freeman) Musican. The couple celebrated 54 years of marriage Sept. 10.

He was the retired owner of Glo-Mar Mfg. Co. in Allentown.

He was a World War II veteran serving with the Navy Seabees, 110th Battalion in the Marshalls and Marianas.

As a young man he was a portrait artist in Atlantic City and Ocean City, N.J. He enjoyed restoring antique furniture and read constantly. At age 95, he was diagnosed with MDS and had to stop playing tennis.

He is survived by his wife; two stepchildren; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, daughter and sister.

Services are private, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
