Martha Dilcher, 81, of Allentown, died peacefully Oct. 8, 2014 in her home with her daughter by her bedside. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Dilcher who died in 1992. They were married for 38 years. Born in Hazelton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Lastoka. She lived in Hazelton until she was 10 years old, then moved, and was raised and educated in Allentown.
She graduated with high honors in 1951 from Allentown High School.
She began her career at the former Madison Cleaners where she met her future husband. She later worked in retail and furthered her career as a pharmacy technician for Thrift Drugs and CVS Pharmacy for over 30 years.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, baking, cooking, gardening and politics.
She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown, where she taught Sunday school for 20 years. She also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was an active volunteer with Animals in Distress and the Lehigh County Humane Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan and extended family and friends.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Judd Funeral Home, Allentown.
