Jane A. Sullivan

Jane Ann Sullivan, 55, of Macungie Township, died Nov. 4, 2014, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of P. Brian Sullivan. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of Joan Helman and the late Robert Helman.

She attended Liberty High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Lehigh University in 1981 and an MBA in finance from Temple University in 1991.

She began her career employed as a production engineer with Honeywell, Inc. and later worked at Lutron Electronics, as a manufacturing engineer. For the past several years she has been employed as a teacher's assistant with the East Penn School District at Eyer Middle School.

She was active in the community, focusing mainly on causes that supported her primary focusher family.

Through the course of raising her children she has volunteered at St. Thomas More School and Christmas Bazaar, supported local charities, was the treasurer of the Hornet Hoops Club at Emmaus High School for four years, involved with autism awareness and fundraising, the Lehigh Country Club swim team, and the Lehigh Valley Lightning basketball team. She currently was tutoring middle-school students in math and science.

She is survived by her husband; children, Christina, Tim and Julie; mother; sister, Carol Geissler, of Middleton, Del. She was predeceased by her father.
