Doris L. Fix, 90, of Whitehall and formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died Oct. 26, 2014, at home.

Born in Irvington, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Caroline (LeClair) Gelbarth.

She was a longtime receptionist and telephone operator for Concrete Plank, Arlington, N.J., until retiring.

She volunteered with the Red Cross at Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for 26 years.

She is survived by a son, Carl S. and his wife Kristina Wells, with whom she resided; a granddaughter, Julie and her husband Mark Reimer and their children, Megan, Nathan and Allison; and a grandson, Jeffrey and his wife Colleen Wells and their children Emily, Ava and Aidan.
