Walter B. Arndt, Jr., 86, of Emmaus, died Oct. 23, 2014, in Hellertown. He was the husband of Mary (Ferreira) Arndt for 59 years in January. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Walter B. Arndt Sr. and Annie (Rhorbach) Arndt.
He retired from Mack Trucks in 1986 as a supervisor.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Catasauqua, a life member of the Emmaus Fire Co. #2 and a life member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife; son, Dennis and his wife Gloria, of Emmaus; two grandsons, Zachary and Joshua; brother-in-law, John Ferreira and his wife Barbara, of Whitehall and brother-in-law, Charles Gaston, of Walnutport. He was predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services are private. Arrangements were made by the Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., Catasauqua.
