Stephen Tordy, 84, of Allentown, died Oct. 18, 2014, while in the care of Phoebe Home and his family. He was born in Budapest, Hungary. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Krajcic) Tordy.
He served in the armed forces and later immigrated to the U.S. and became a citizen.
He was a shoemaker for McCrory's, Allentown. He ran his own shoe repair business until retiring about 1990.
He was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (Snooky) Sabo of Freemansburg; a brother, Miklos Tordy of Austrailia; two sisters, Elizabeth and Marika Tordy of Hungary; three grandchildren, Joseph, Stephen and Aniko Paksi, all of Hungary; and two great- grandchildren, Panda and Robert Sabo of Bethlehem.
He was predecesed by a brother, Willy Tordy.
