Harriet Kelso Richards, 89, of Philadelphia, died Sept. 23, 2014, at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Hannah E. (Jones) and Leonard E. Richards.

She was a 1942 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

She was a medical researcher at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Philadelphia, for 40 years until she retired.

She was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association. She was active in the Photographic Society of America and won awards for her photographs.

She is survived by relatives Brian and his wife Jean McKittrick of Catasauqua; Leonard and his wife Irene McKittrick of Center Valley; Kyle and his wife Karleen McKittrick and their sons Liam and Nolin; and Matthew and his wife Kaitlyn McKittrick.

She was predeceased by Eddes McKittick and John Schelhamer.
