Chad Cole recently received the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor at Seisholtzville Fire Company in Macungie.
Cole is a member of Boy Scout Troop 71 which is sponsored by Solomon's United Church of Christ in Macungie.
The Eagle Scout rank is the highest achievement in Scouting.
Chad Cole, the son of Jake and Audrey Cole, started in Scouting as a Cub Scout and earned his Arrow of Light as a Webelo Scout. As a Boy Scout, Chad earned 25 merit badges and held various leadership positions in- cluding assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader and troop guide. He is a member of the National Order of the Arrow.
For his Eagle Scout project, Cole renovated a classroom at Solomon's United Church of Christ, Church Street, in the borough of Macungie. Cole was inspired to do this project by being a helper and donating his time to an older Scout the year prior on a renovation project at the same church. Cole's project included painting, repairs and ceiling repair. Cole learned the skills of directing and managing a construction project.
