Bernadette Marie Balf, 62, of Salisbury Township, died Oct. 19, 2014, at her residence. She was the wife of Daniel C. Balf. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Jessie Mae (Wolfe) Roman.
She was a postal worker for 34 years, retiring in 2004 from the Emmaus Post Office as a bulk mail technician for Rodale Press, Fogelsville.
She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Hellertown and served as the organist and musical director along with her husband. Prior to her retirement she was the accompanist at the Beethoven Waldheim, Leithsville. During her retirement she taught piano and organ.
She is survived by her husband; son, James J.; siblings, Maryellen Jaeger and George and his wife Carolyn Roman, all of Bethlehem; granddaughter, Carla M., of Easton.

A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Oct. 25 at the St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown.
