Edward R. Mackie, 82, of Breinigsville, and formerly of Fountain Hill, died Oct. 6, 2014. He was the husband of Eileen (Kenny) Mackie for 58 years.

He was in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He attended the University of Rhode Island, graduating with an economics degree in 1960.

He was a production scheduler for Bethlehem Steel, retiring as a supervisor in 1994.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Marybeth and her husband Steve Benko of Md.; three sons, Stephen and his wife Carleen of Fountain Hill, Timothy of Nazareth, and Christopher of Lawrence; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Mackie.
