Coplay's community Halloween parade is set for this coming Tuesday, Oct. 21.

It is sponsored by Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association.

In recognition of the fact that October is Fire Prevention Month, the parade will be led by the Coplay Fire Department, and will feature other volunteer fire departments in the area.

The first division, which follows, is headed by the honor squad of Post 426, American Legion, Coplay.

Coplay Neighborhood Crime Watch, which bills itself as a passive group of concerned borough residents, notes it is always vigilant when it comes to the siting of any unusual persons or activities occurring in town.

The organization states it reports such incidents to the borough police department.

Baseball and softball programs held for youngsters by Coplay Sports Inc. may be over for this year, with no fall program, but the organization is now gearing up for basketball, with practice being held in the borough hall gym.
