Dear editor:

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our coach, mentor and friend, Mr. Ted Martz. He was a true inspiration to us during our lives.

We, as coaches, of converse with the number of "kids" he coached through the years. His service to the Bethlehem Area School District is unparalleled. After retirement from the district he went on to officiate at many of our swim meets.

We have benefitted greatly by his largess; for you see that our love of the sport has not waned, Neither has his influence on our lives.

Rest well coach, you will not be forgotten.
