Lehigh Valley Active Life (formerly Lehigh County Senior Center), 1633 West Elm St., Allentown will be holding a senior health fair 9 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Oct. 22.
Free flu shots will be administered by Lehigh Valley Health Network.
They will protect against four different flu strains, two influenza Type A strains and two influenza Type B strains.
Persons 65 and older will receive the trivalent high-dose vaccine.
Seniors under 65 will receive the quadrivalent flu vaccine.
Free screenings will include blood sugar by Hartzell's Pharmacy, cholesterol screening by St. Luke's Health Network, hearing tests by Hear PA, stroke risk assessment by St. Luke's Health Network, balance checks by Traditions of Hanover, blood pressure by a number of vendors, and unclaimed financial property by State Treasury Office, the office of state Rep. Mike Schlossberg, D-132nd.
More than 40 vendors will offer screenings and information for seniors.
Lunch will be available for purchase.
Lunch reservations need to be made by Oct. 17 by calling 610-437-3700.
Reservations for the health fair are not needed.
