A free information session on adoption and child foster care is being offered 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at Diakon Adoption and Foster Care, at The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 S. Home Ave., Topton.

Diakon Adoption and Foster Care staff will explain foster parenting as well as the processes involved in adopting a child.

Attendees will also learn about children available for adoption as well as the foster-to-adopt program.
