Charles R. Lenner, 83, of Emmaus, died Oct. 1, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice. He was the husband of the late Jane A. (Mattern) Lenner. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late John S. and Elizabeth (Fedorisko) Lenner.

He worked for the U.S. Army Reserve for 27 years, retiring in 1986. He honorably served his country in the Army. He was a retired military reservist.

He is survived by daughters, Loreen and her husband Glenn Smickley, of Half Moon Bay, Calif., Linette and her husband Alan Buss, of Emmaus and Cynthia and her husband Ric Cadle, of Acworth, Ga.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchhildren; brother-in-law, Richard Mattern; sister-in-law, Helen Mattern. He was predeceased by brothers, Daniel, Michael and Francis and a sister, Helen Defanti.
