John F. Jandres, 80, of Northampton, died Sept. 24, 2014, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit, Lehigh Valley Hospital-Allentown. He was the husband of Ann M. (Walakovits) Jandres for 42 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Martin and Anna (Karner) Jandres.

He was in the U.S. Navy.

He was a supervisor at Cross Country Clothes for many years. Before that, he was a foreman at J. Schaenaman Company.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Annunciation B.V.M. Church, Catasauqua.

He was a member of the Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4714, and the Coplay senior group.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sue and her husband Michael Williams and Karen and her husband Orlando Gonzalez, all of Catasauqua; a son, Martin of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Brittany, Nicholas and Jessica; and eight sisters, Mary Toth, Anna Nickisher, Margaret Glickman, Lillian Rogers, Cecilia Catino, Helen Feichtel, Rose Marie Moore and Aimee.
