Oct. 6-10: During National Fire Prevention Week, firefighters from various fire departments will bring their trucks and educational programs to Parkland elementary schools to teach fire safety.

Oct. 6:Harlem Wizards are coming to the high school gym Nov. 20. Tickets on sale in the administration building. First come, first-served. There are also a limited quantity of reserved section seating available with order forms at the elementary schools. General admission seats will be available to the general public at harlemwizards.com beginning 9 a.m. Oct. 6. Proceeds benefit the education foundation and elementary PTO's.

Oct. 6-10: Homecoming Spirit Week at the high school "Believe in Magic, Dreams do Come True" includes: Oct. 8, Garter Bowl with rain date Oct. 9; Oct. 10, Homecoming game against Easton, float building, parade; Oct. 11, Homecoming Dance.

Camelot House will be this year's nonprofit to receive proceeds from Homecoming festivities organized by Student Council.
