James E. Bower, 67, of Salisbury Township, died Sept. 17, 2014, in his home. He was the husband of the late Joan A. (Nesfeder) Bower who died in 2011. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Betty M. (Heil) Bower.

He served his country honorably in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was a hydraulic forklift mechanic for 40 years at various companies in the Lehigh Valley, retiring in 2009.

He was a member of the Mountainville Fire Co., Allentown.

He is survived by sisters, Cathy and her husband David Bonaskiewich, Barbara Weaver, Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Graber, Sharon and her husband Arnold Metzger, Nancy Bowers; brother, Robert and his wife Jean; many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Tom and Fred.
