The Bach Choir of Bethlehem continues its 2014 - '15 season with "Bach At Noon," 12:10 - 1 p.m. Oct. 14, with Bach preludes and fugues played by Kristina Moditch, a young pianist from Moscow, and "Cantata 106: Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit (God's time is the very best time)," Central Moravian Church, Main and Church streets, Bethlehem.
Greg Funfgeld, artistic director and conductor, introduces each concert with an informal talk about the music.
"Bach at Noon" continues to draw capacity crowds totaling more than 6,800 annually to concerts on Second Tuesdays, September - November and January - April.
Admission is free and there is no need for a reservation but audiences are encouraged to come early to be assured of a seat. A free-will offering will be received to help support the series.
The 2014 - '15 season includes:
Nov. 11: Instrumental selection TBA, "Cantata 71: Gott ist mein König (God is my King)"
Jan. 13, 2015: "Prelude and Fugue in E-flat Major BWV 552," Tom Goeman, organ; "Cantata 171: Gott, wie dein Name, so ist auch dein Ruhm (God, as your name is, so also is your renown)"
Feb. 10, 2015: "Italian Concerto BWV 971," Greg Funfgeld, harpsichord; "Cantata 203 Amore traditore (Treacherous love)," "Cantata 209 Non sa che dolore (He does not know what sorrow is)"
March 10, 2015: Instrumental selection TBA, "Cantata 100 Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan (God's actions are considered well)"
April 14, 2015: Instrumental selection TBA, "Cantata 4 Christ lag in Todesbanden (Christ lay in death's dark prison)"
