A candidates' forum for the new 40th Senatorial District, which includes Allen and East Allen townships, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1, 7-8:15 p.m., at the Forks Township Administration Building, 1606 Sullivan Trail, Forks Township.

Mark Aurand, Democrat, and Rep. Mario Scavello, Republican, will attend.

The East Allen Township Fire Department will hold a variety bingo fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 2, in the social hall, 5354 Nor-Bath Blvd.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the games begin at 1 p.m.

Prizes will include items from Charming Charlie, Coach, Longaberger, Scentsy, Thirty-One and Vera Bradley. Cash-and-carry items will also be available.
