William A. Klopp

William Alan Klopp, 54, of Salisbury Township, died Sept. 19, 2014, surrounded by his family, some close friends and his favorite music after a valiant fight against ALS. He was the husband of David Moyer and together they shared 34 years together before being married in November 2013. Born in Easton, he was the son of Ralph W. and Fern E. (Speicher) Klopp, of Allentown.

He graduated from William Allen High School in 1978 and began a career in building maintenance, painting and decorating, working at the former Holiday Inn, Routes 309 and 22, and later Hotel Bethlehem as a painter, general decorating and restoration. In 1995 he began his own company, KLOPPCO Interior and Exterior Painting and continued this business until his retirement due to illness in 2012.

He was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, Allentown.

In addition to his husband and parents he is survived by sisters, Eileen K., of Allentown; Vicky L., of Wilson Boro; nieces, Amy Krause, of Allentown, Elizabeth and her husband Tony Nimeh, of Wescosville; nephews, Charlton R. Krause and his wife Jennifer of California; great nieces and nephews, Kile, Maia, Jeremy and Avery and many relatives and friends.

Viewings will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 24 and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 25 in Grace Episcopal Church, 108 N. 5th St., Allentown. A funeral liturgy with Holy Eucharist, will be 10:30 a.m. Sept. 25 in the church.
