Rita A. O'Donnell, 84, of Mac- ungie, died Sept. 19, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Wilbert L. O'Donnell. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Louis F. and Josephine M. (Allegri) Girardi.
She was a seamstress for the former Phoenix Clothes in Allentown for 25 years before retiring in 1972.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheri wife of Tip O'Neill, Jr., of Bryn Mawr; daughter-in-law, Judy O'Donnell, of Macungie; brother, Angelo F., of Myrtle Beach; sister, Dolores and her husband Emil Pfenninger, of Macungie; grandchildren, Kathleen, Laura, Colleen, Bill, Joseph, Mary and Elee O'Neill, and Jamie; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Daniel W. this past April.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 26 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1879 Applewood Rd., Orefield. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
