Elvin O. Creitz Jr.
Elvin O. Creitz Jr., 84, of Schnecksville, died on Sept. 14, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of Elaine J. (Berreth) Creitz.
Born Aug. 3, 1930, in Neffs, he was the son of the late Elvin O. Sr. and Jeanette K. (Rex) Creitz.
A founding member of the Kilowatt Craftsmen's Club, he was a drafting squad leader for PPL, Allentown, for 40 years before retiring in 1991.
Active in the life of his community and church, he was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, the Union Church Cemetery Commission, Copeechan Fish and Game Club, Schnecksville, and the Mercantile Club of Emmaus.
He served as judge of elections for North Whitehall Township, 1st District, from 1976-97.
His Masonic affiliations include being a member of the Greenleaf Lodge 561, F.&A.M., Royal Arch Chapter 203, and Allentown Forest 41, Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
His survivors include daughters, Vicki L. Lindsay and husband Brian of Slatington, Susan Clerici and husband Arthur of Somerset, N.J., Lisa A. Werkheiser and husband Ted of Allentown, Nanette Zettlemoyer and husband Arthur of Bethlehem; siblings Harold F. of Allentown, Warren E. of Germansville, Grace I. Frazer of East Falmouth, Mass., Loretta M. Sidlock of Northampton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sept. 19, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 12:30-1:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. His Masonic service will be 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
