The Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company Country Garden will be holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast Sunday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The fire company is located at 4188 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

Proceeds benefit the fire company.

The Lehigh Township Rail to Trails group invites the public to join a leisurely ride along the Delaware and Lehigh Rail Trail.

The ride is set for Sept. 27 and will travel a one-way distance of about nine miles from the trailhead at Lehighton to the one in Slatington.

The ride will begin 9 a.m. and end before noon.

During the ride, the group will stop to discuss historic events and nature.

Rest rooms are available at the Slatington trailhead, as are picnic tables and places to purchase food for those who do not want to bring their own snacks or lunch.

From Slatington, riders may bike back to Lehighton or continue to ride further.

Although the ride is free, the group asks participants to register by Sept. 20 by calling Nancy at 610-767-0676 or emailing ltr2t@hotmail.com.
