Edward M. Wiessner, 89, of Northampton, died Aug, 25, 2014, in Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of Theresa (Zgebura) Wiessner for 60 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Frank and Ida (Bodisch) Wiessner.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was an assembler for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown and Macungie. He was previously a blacksmith for the former Giant Cement Company, Egypt.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.
He was a member of Mack Local 677. He was an honorary member of the Coplay Saengerbund.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen and her husband Michael Oswald of Greentown; three grandchildren, Kim, Clint and Krystal; and three great-grandchildren, Breana, Mia and Matthew.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Frank, John, William, Raymond and Alfred; and three sisters, Ida Emma, Margaret and Anna.
