Claude F. White Jr., 59, of Whitehall and formerly of Palmerton, died Aug. 23, 2014. He was the husband of Gina (Abraham) White.

Born in Northampton County, he was a son of the late Claude F. and Virginia (Kester) White.

He was employed by the Allentown Laborers Union Local 1174, retiring in 2013.

He enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking, and was known as "The Pickle Man."

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tina and her husband Zachary Keenan of Northampton and Laurette White of Lehighton; a stepdaughter, Dawn Abraham of Chambersburg; two brothers, Paul of Kokomo, Ind. and Roger of Bowmanstown; a half-brother, Randy Haydt; two sisters, Betty Wieand of Bowmanstown and Hilda Dougherty of Bethlehem; a half-sister, Alice Strubel of Arkansas; and two grandchildren, Ava and Owen Keenan.
