Ruth K. Koch, 75, of Schnecksville, died Aug. 20, 2014, at Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Frank E. and Catherine E. (Savitz) Koch.

She graduated from Elizabethtown College where she had earned a teaching degree.

She was an elementary school teacher, most recently at Kratzer Elementary School, Parkland School District, for 35 years, retiring in 1996.

She attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton.

She was a member of OES, Rose Croix Chapter. She was active in the Friends of Parkland Community Library Association, and with the annual book sale for 26 years. She won several needlepoint contests at the Great Allentown Fair.

She is survived by two cousins, William B. and Nadine Savitz of Northampton and Robert C. Savitz and friend Bonnie Nagle of Weaversville; and friends.
