Michael Kravetz, 91, lifelong proprietor of the Berlinsville Hotel for over 62 years, died peacefully Aug. 13, 2014, in his home. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Engle) Kravetz for 51 years.

Born in Lehigh Township, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anastasia (Milko) Kravetz.

He was a member of St. John's UCC, Slatington.

A graduate of the Berlinsville and Palmerton schools, he served as a photographer in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.

He is survived by his wife; son, David of Berlinsville; daughter, Amy M. and her husband Michael Saunders of Westford, Vt.; and sister-in-law, Olga Kravetz of Palmerton. He was predeceased by sisters, Kathryn Kipila and Ann Haftl, and brothers, Charles and Nicholas Kravetz.
