Oscar C. Ramer, 86 of North Whitehall Township, died July 27, 2014, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. He was the husband of Jane (Arnold) Ramer for 64 years.
Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late Oscar W. and Theresa (Mesics) Ramer.
He was a private first class in the Army Air Corps during World War II, from 1945 until 1947. He earned a World War II Victory Medal.
He was the production control manager at Bally Ribbon Mills, Bally, for five years before retiring in 1993. He worked in the same capacity previously for American Safety Equipment, Whitehall, for 30 years.
He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.
He was a member of both the Hokendauqua American Legion and Whitehall-Coplay A.A.R.P. group.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter; Vicki and her husband John Diorio of Roseto; a son, Brad and his wife Eileen of Ambler; three granddaughters, Erika, Jill, and Kelli; and two great-grandsons, Jackson and Griffin.
He was predeceased by two brothers, William and John Ramer.
