Northwestern Lehigh Education Foundation recently sponsored a Rock N'Run 5K Run and Fun Walk at Ontelaunee Park.

Following the run and walk, there was entertainment by: Northwestern Lehigh High School's female a capella group, the Naturalettes, the male a capella group, the Arpeggios, and several local bands.

The 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation, which contributed more than $103,000 to the school district last year, supports educational programs.

The foundation has provided additional interactive whiteboards for classrooms so teachers can engage students and enhance the learning experience.

The remaining funds were used for teacher mini-grant program through which teachers or groups of teachers can apply for the money for special projects.
