Matthew A. Ruch, 24, of Allentown, died July 22, 2014, as the result of a swimming accident in Allentown. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Don Ruch and the late Kathleen (Boyer) Ruch of Allentown.

He was a 2011 graduate of William Allen High School.

He was a laborer doing odd jobs in the Allentown area for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was a former Boy Scout, achieving the rank of Star, with Boy Scout Troop 240, Allentown. He offered a helping hand to all who needed one.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother; Joshua Ruch of Allentown; paternal grandparents, Donald and Shirley Ruch of Northampton; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.

Future memorial services will be announced.
