Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge Street will have a half-price sale on women's slacks, capris, shorts and swimwear and men's slacks and shorts from Monday, Aug. 4, to Saturday, Aug. 9. Store hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of good used clean clothing are gratefully accepted during store operation hours. Proceeds are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

The next business meeting of the Han-Le-Co Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company will be Sunday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in membership or volunteer participation in the fire company's activities is invited to attend.

The Pennsylvania Avenue Interfaith Food Pantry, located at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, is open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, 6-8 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. The food bank is open to anyone needing assistance with feeding a family.
