Helen L. Rice, 89, of Northampton, died July 8, 2014, at home. She was the wife of the late Charles Dieter and the late Merritt Rice.

Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Helen (Bonstein) Wieder.

She was a dispatcher and worked in the accounting department for the AAA Auto Club, Allentown, for 31 years before retiring in 1993.

She attended Salem United Church of Christ, Catasauqua.

She will be missed and rememberd by neighbors Sal, Donna and John Zangari of Northampton; friends, Michael and Diane Brown of Bethlehem, Vincent Suppan of Exton, Sarah Brehm of North Wales and Kathleen Oswald of Coplay; six stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and all of her pen pals.

She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Wieder.
