Gregory R. Wells

Gregory R. Wells, 68, of Dingman's Ferry, Wellsville and of Cinton, N.J., died of acute myeloid leukemia on July 12, 2014, at the VNA Hospice House of Monroe County, Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Joy (Freeland) Wells.

Born in Washington, D.C, he was a son of the late John and Marjory (Rogers) Wells.

He earned a bachelor's degree from Muhlenberg College and a master's degree from Lehigh University.

He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

He was a chief warrant officer 4th class and a pilot in the U.S Navy and was in the Pennsylvania National Guard for more than 25 years. He was a civilian contractor with the U.S. Army in Operation Desert Storm and in the Iraqi war, working in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He was a computer analyst and consultant with Sperry Univac, AT&T and independently for more than 35 years.

In addtion to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dawn and her husband Philip Nadeau and their daughters Julia and Abilgail; and a sister, Benda Jennings of Bedford.
