Paul Kokolus

Paul Kokolus, 84, of Ballietsville, died July 7, 2014, in Weston Senior Living Center, Northampton. He was the husband of Marjorie A. (Gavlick) Kokolus for 50 years.

Born in North Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Prokip and Anastasis (Rychtowrski) Kokula.

He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University. He earned a master's degree from Colgate University.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He taught at Passaic Valley High School, Little Falls, N.J., for 25 years until retiring. Upon returning to Pennsylvania, he was the owner of Kokolus Builders.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Whitehall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John and his wife Debra of Coplay and Michael and his wife Maureen of Somerville, N.J.; four daughters, Patricia and her husband Steve Kronman of Montville, N.J., Janet Martin of Venice, Fla., Marie and her husband James Fischbach of Little Falls, N.J., and Barbara and her husband Thomas Kolar of Clarence Center, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Rose Chromiak and Julie Guthrie.

He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Michael and William; and two sisters, Ann and Mary.
