Edward J. Ressler, 73, of Coplay, died July 3, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Patricia (Demchyk) Ressler for 49 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late John Piha and Hilda Ressler.

He was a 1959 graduate of Coplay High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He co-owned Pat's Ice and Beverage, Coplay, for 33 years. He was a laborer for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Bethlehem, for 15 years.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.

He was a member of the Coplay American Legion Post 426.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward Jr. and Robert, both of Coplay; a daughter, Christine Sweeney of Allentown; and two grandchildren, Laurel and Kyle Sweeney.
