Doris E. Nickischer, 82, of Coplay, died June 22, 2104, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late William "Nick" C. Nickischer.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Peters) Bachman Sr.

She was a food service worker for the Whitehall School District for 43 years. She was an Avon representative for 40 years and was recognized many times as a top Avon seller.

She attended Emmanuel Assembly of God and was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, Stiles.

She was a volunteer at Gockley Elementary School for several years.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy, and Christopher and his wife Victoria, all of Coplay; two grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Heather Nickischer and Tara Nickischer; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Leigh; and a sister, Alice Schellhammer of Whitehall.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Lester C. Bachman and Harold Bachman Jr.; and a sister, Janice Schuler.
