The 2014 Steps4Stellar 5K Run/Walk, in conjunction with Stellar "Catch a Rising Star" basketball tournament will take place, rain or shine, 9 a.m. July 12 at Cedar Beach Park, 2600 Parkway Blvd., Allentown.

The race is in memory of Debbie Stellar who died of ovarian cancer in 2010.

Registration and number pickup will be in the parking lot near the pool and basketball courts from 7:30-8:30 a.m.

Race course starts and ends near the basketball courts.

Dogs and strollers are welcome.

There will be refreshments for finishers, food vendors, plenty of parking, toilet facilities and time clock at finish and instant results.

Free raffle with door prizes will be awarded after the race.

Top three male and female overall finishers will get a gift card to Aardvark Runing store and a pint glass with logo.

The top three in each age group will be awarded a pint glass with logo.

A T-shirt guaranteed to all preregistrants of the 5K.

Online registration closes July 10.

Proceeds go to a scholarship for a student whose family is battling cancer.
