C. Michael Jacobs, 70, of Bethlehem, died June 19, 2014, in Masconic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a son of the late William F. Jacobs Sr. and the late Norma (Brophy) Jacobs-Brug, and was a stepson of Norman Brug of Seneca, N.Y.
He served in the U.S. Navy during Viet Nam.
He was a 1974 Allentown Police Academy graduate.
He was on the Bethlehem Police force for many years until retiring after becoming disabled due to a stroke. He then worked from his home as a state registrar until retiring in 2007.
He was a member of Christ Church U.C.C.
He was a 32nd degree member of Bethlehem Lodge Free and Accepted Masons.
He is survived by two brothers, Peter and David; a stepfather, Norman Brug; and many friends, especially Judith Hinkle who assisted in his care.
He was predeceded by a brother, William Jacobs Jr.
