The American Radio Relay League, the national organization for amateur radio, annually sponsors a 24-hour emergency preparedness drill.
More than 35,000 amateur radio operators across the country will practice their operating skills and test their emergency preparedness capabilities by contacting as many other amateur radio operators as possible throughout the United States and Canada.
The Delaware Lehigh Amateur Radio Club will demonstrate its radio-based communication abilities at its field day location at Louise W Moore Park, pavilion 5, Easton.
Louise W Moore Park is located off Route 33. Take Hecktown Road west to the traffic light, then turn left onto Country Club Road.
Park entrance is a short way down on the left.
DLARC will begin its 24-hour field day operation 2 p.m. June 28.
DLARC members will be available to answer questions about amateur radio and provide further information about obtaining a license.
