Mary Jane Stahr, 79, of Bethlehem, died June 13, 2014, at Blough Nursing Home, Bethlehem. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Martha C. (Wagner) Walker. She was the wife Robert J. Stahr for 57 years.

She was a 1952 graduate of Liberty High School.

She was the former head of the Earned Income Tax Department for the City of Bethlehem for more than 20 years until retiring. She previously worked for the former Brown Borhek.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, where she was active with the women's groups and assisted with the newsletter.

She was a past president of the American Business Women of Lehigh Valley. She was a member of the auxiliary of Muhlenberg Hospital Center and was on the summer festival board.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Charles W. and his wife Judi Walker of Moore Township; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Sue Garland.
