It may be a long time before Gail Christman is able to sleep.

The Germansville resident recently won a year's supply of caffeine, more specifically, a year's worth of Dunkin' Donuts coffee as the 1 millionth DD Perks Rewards program member.

Christmanwas also given a commemorative, personalized Dunkin' Donuts gift card June 18 at the Dunkin' Donuts, 3626 Route 309, Orefield.

"The way this all started was I was in Whitehall running a half-hour early and when I pulled out at Schadt Avenue, there was a Dunkin' Donuts," she told The Press. "So, I stopped in there and got a raspberry iced coffee and now I am addicted," Christman said. "I also drink the butter pecan iced coffee. It is like eating dessert."

Christman, who owns Venture Farms, said she stops at a lot of Dunkin' Donuts because she has a horse business and travels a great deal.

"A good friend of mine talked me into getting a DD Perks Rewards card," Christman said. "I had the card for two weeks before I activated it.

"I have never won anything before, so I thought it was too good to be true when Dunkin' Donuts called and told me I was the 1 millionth DD Perks Rewards Program member.

"Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee keeps me running throughout the week, so I'll be sure to put the commemorative gift card to good use."

Field Marketing Manager for Dunkin' Donuts Jessica Weissman commented on Christman's win.

As an additional way to say "thanks a million" to its loyal customers, Dunkin' Donuts rewarded the first 20 DD Perks Rewards Program members to arrive at the restaurant with $20 Dunkin' Donuts gift cards.

With DD Perks, customers earn five points for every dollar they spend on qualifying purchases when they pay using an enrolled Dunkin' Donuts Card, either plastic or via the Dunkin' Mobil App.

Once a member accrues 200 points, he or she receives a coupon for a free medium beverage.
