The 10th annual Justin Sheftel memorial softball tournament will take place June 21 at the Parkland High School Athletic Fields. Rain date is June 22.
There will be 22 teams competing, within men and women's divisions.
There will be fun for the whole family, no admission fee, and a lot of softball to be watched.
Justin was a first baseman and a lefty pitcher.
In an effort to honor Justin, Steve Carlton will be attending the tournament this year.
He will be available for signing autographs from 3:30-5 p.m. and a judge for the Mocktail contest, sponsored by Red Robin.
For those real Phillies fans who would like a special opportunity to meet Steve Carlton and share a few minutes with him in Private, you may want to consider the VIP package.
VIP time set aside from 3-3:30 p.m.
Space is limited to only 20 people in a private RV provided by Hawk Radio and VinArt Dealerships.
Cost includes the meet and greet, a genuine major league baseball to be autographed and a picture taken with Carlton (to be emailed after the event).
Activities for day include, tie dye T-shirts, speed pitch contest, Home Run Derby, the Mocktail contest with four mixologists concocting refreshing non alcoholic summer drinks, all samples are free.
A photo booth will be there midday, so go by and get your photos taken for free.
Food and drink will be available for purchase.
There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and Trixie's Treats.
