AARP Chapter 3115 will meet noon Thursday, June 5 at the American Club, 300 Cherry St., Coplay. Refreshments will be available during the social hour. Jim Kurtz and the barbershop quartet, Ffourtissimo, will entertain the group. Members are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the food bank. New members are welcome. The Fullerton Legion Auxiliary will hold its next meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at the legion home on Fullerton Avenue and Wood Street. The meeting will include a picnic. Members are asked to bring a covered dish. At the meeting, nominations and election of officers for 2015 will also take place. There will be no meeting in July or August due to vacations. The next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9. At the meeting, installation of new officers will occur.

St. Elizabeth Catholic Church will hold their parish festival Friday, June 13, from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday, June 14, from 5-10 p.m. on the parish grounds, Fullerton Avenue and Pershing Boulevard. There will be lots of food, waffles and ice cream, cabbage and noodles, sausage sandwiches, potato pancakes as well as some surprise recipes provided by some of our parishioners. Entertainment will abound and there will be games for adults and children, including an inflatable obstacle course. Music will be provided by the Chaz Band on Friday and Good Time Charlie on Saturday with Deejay Flip Side. The parish priests, Father Edward Essig and Father Joe Sobiesiak, welcome all to attend this fun event.
